Random thoughts that raced, which one will be marked history?

Taste becomes history
Health is future
When taste races against you
Health becomes history.

pages turned back
brings in the time gone
smiles and tears play flip flop
a rain of thoughts and emotions
they race while you stare out
it’s a whole sea before you blink
smiles and tears play flip flop
while they race the prize is yours
if you can foresee history on make
you can act hopefully right
the sea will serve a dead sea
keeping you afloat and relaxed
healing you always,
keeping you always the YOU who you are

History is red with wars
You may think it as scars
If life is a race that you plan
To win and just to win
History can extend hands
To grab your future where it stands
To make it red with scars.

  1. sadly history is red with war...a scar we can look back on and even forward and see coming...really like these lines...

it’s a whole sea before you blink
smiles and tears play flip flop
while they race the prize is yours
    if you can foresee history

  2. Yes, history is red with scars indeed. Wish these scars could be erased, but since they can't I hope the world learns from them. I enjoyed your poem, and thanks for sharing with Poetry Jam!

  4. History does have its scars to be sure, but thankfully some scars do fade over time, and the scars each contain a lesson to be learned.

  5. I like all three of these poems. Love the twist in the first, which made me ponder. Also like the tears and smiles flip-flopping and of course sadly history does leave many scars. Write on!
