(Pic from MAGPIE TALES)
The smell
of the hay, warmth of sun’s ray
As I sweat
my way, my kids are happy jay
Here I
belong, smell, sweat and food
My days
rewarded, honesty reverberate d.
Decades
passed and here I earn
My muscles
don’t toil but brain
I am a
king, my family sound and trained
But there
is a void little space, yearned.
When I
look, to enjoy serenity
She looks
back for honesty
I fear she
may never forgive
The gap
that I left between us, grave.
I emanate
from her, soothing
She caressed,
a mother loving
Things taken
for granted, the very existence
Can we
honestly perform to have forgiveness?
When I look, to enjoy serenity
