Whenever I slipped
in to dark vacuums, you cracked open little creeks
for me to slip out
as a butterfly, fresh wings and colour splash opens.
Standing alone here
in this deserted old castle of memories, I am chasing
desperately for footprints,
you assure me of all the fragrance still lingering.
I am here today and
I move next day, my belongings packed daily,
I lost many and
when I cry, you touch my heart, it is there beating, safely.
I am fragmented,
parts here and parts there, solving puzzles of existence
you gifted me words
and colours to heel my wounds, to collect myself thence.
These couplets contain a wonderful sense of personal regeneration.
