Pristine

(Google images)

Deep dark woods, forlorn paths,
plodded in dreams on wings mystical.
Compass won’t work, eyes trail on all paths;
lingering here and there, feeling whimsical,
a déjà vu haunting deep inside.

Has been here for eons, dark green moss
and darkened trunks evoking secrets, deep.
The woods inside and the soul trapped, toss
hard against fragile bust that is fast asleep,
Yes, the pristine woods of eternity, inviting.

The woods to explore; to untie all worn-
ties and to see where the roots lie deep
and to know where the top has overgrown,
to lie coiled in the rich soil of eternal deep-
truths breathing the very smell of cosmic reveries.

  4. nice...i really like your use of the woods in this....that last stanza in particular is really good.....was thinking you were heading toward stumbling around being lost in the woods but you put a better spin on it...coiled in the soil of deep truths...

  5. The use of deep dark woods is a good symbol; in a dream or a nightmare, it can create a lot of emotions and thoughts uncoiled in the roots ~

Thanks for visiting my blogs ~

  6. Pow! Bulls eye for me. I find this so comforting woods with mystery can embrace like a mother. When I feel safe I can sort my life and I can act.
