When I am here, I
thought I am here
and my muse wandered
back home, there,
and then I thought I
am there;
I am a float, and I
wander.
My identity being a
question... but sure
I am only a zephyr! And
when I stay
I am labelled and my
heart still stray
to every beginning
and end I hold
in memory - the
kaleidoscope I hold
close to my vision
and believe where
all my colours are
scattered and where
they hold illusions
dear to me, sure
I am only a zephyr, a
cipher
that always is there,
with no end!
And I love myself
being ‘none’
with many dream like
memories
floating through
me...
and nothing to lose,
I love being a sweet zephyr!
smiles...was waiting to see where love came in...and i think you used it wonderfully....loving ones uniqueness and complex simplicity...very cool take on this...

DeleteThis was so sweet ... moving like a wanderer through different phases of life ... wonderful poetry :-)
ReplyDeleteAhh.... being as light as air, so that you are neither, here, nor there but everywhere. Beautiful. When we 'find' our peace within, it is a beautiful thing, isn't it.
ReplyDeleteThis is a truly lovely piece Sreeja.
Like a lovely butterfly .. flitting, floating through life. I so enjoyed your poem.
ReplyDeleteA little sad to me to think of the split into many places, but in the moments that I have felt some of that experience coming through me for a poem or other cause, I too am grateful. Your poem made me look at this phenomenon again--thank you. I love it!
ReplyDeleteReally enjoyed this! Especially this part:
ReplyDeletemy heart still stray
to every beginning and end I hold
in memory - the kaleidoscope I hold
close to my vision and believe where
all my colours are scattered and where
they hold illusions dear to me
Loved the kaleidoscope scattering the colours and holding illusions dear to you...really well done! :-)
Thank you for joining in the dance with me, too!
This is beautiful. I enjoyed the self love of yourself, a zephyr. This poem made me smile.
ReplyDeleteI think we need to embrace our whole being. We do need to love ourselves inside and out!

This such a wonderful poem of self-acceptance! Love the image of the kaleidoscope...that scattering effect is the perfect description for the random way our memories sometimes work. Really enjoyed this poem.
