Voyages of a winner

lonely face – taking pain
trying to approach passion-
a resurgence - bringing excitement,
a break, from the past
a vibrant little movement,
to nourish and enrich the new-
                                                intensity.

The last - divided touches, jargon text and comparisons,
                                                                                       history.

 Only, connect to the context
drawing parallels and breaks,
-discontinuities- to link parallels and metaphors
illustrate, illuminate critique
tools of imagination,
unavoidable repetitions
 and glimpse the evolution,
 no one can ignore!

ERASURE POETRY: It is the poetry of loaded spaces and allusions to the original text, which may be fiction, nonfiction, longer poems, songs, advertisements, really anything that previously exists. The process of erasure reforms, reinterprets, distills, and remakes the original. It is a process of selection and will teach you about your own poetic sensibilities. (dVerse poets pub)

  2. Fun -- creative to use a News clipping, especially South Indian paper: The Hindu. I have a new close friend here in the USA that is Tamil. Before know him and his family, I had only really known of North India (the Western bias, I have since ashamedly learned). (I lived in Pakistan and North India for 2 years)

    Thanx

  4. I enjoyed this, Sreeja. To write an erasure poem from a newspaper article is quite an accomplishment.

  11. I am impressed with the result from your source, very creative and stands well on its own. I couldn't see much of the original text (the picture wouldn't zoom) but I think you completely grasped the purpose of erasure poetry. I enjoyed this very much!
