A dire dream

A blue jeans hangs from the string, water dripping,
A blue sky shines, deep; no birds flock but sit winking;
A bird perched on the string, another on the tree,
Whole courtyard has birds perched, at every corner.

A blue jeans hangs from the string, water dripping.
A room, doors jammed; window opens a world, breathing,
A gadget, a genie; a screen that brings conflicting spree
Freedom, freedom; all lions, and no other species near!

A blue jeans hangs from the string, water dripping,
Dripping into old scribbles, portraits, fables – fading,
They leave scars; abstracts form and meanings blur.
The birds - no one rises to flock them up - sit in corner.

A blue jeans hangs from the string, water dripping,
Endless pastures, all lions, no other in sight, straining
Eyes, ferocious fights, and a life cycle blocked, a mere
Joke, freedom laughs and responsibility mourns, here!

The doors scream to be opened, a dire dream, shakes.

  9. how intriguing...i like your approach to the verse, there is a nice dance without losing its power as well....may , in the new year, you and your country find what it needs...the lions will always prowl...

  11. Never wondered that a poem can be created even with these day to day things, which are just lying or hanging here and there. Very out of the box idea. keep it up. Inspires me ,also to look for creativity in simple things!!!!
