Sun
shining on soft velvety leaves,
shingles
shining, a mosaic pattern; hues,
dark and light evolving, playing tunes.
Life’s
patterns, I watch.
When
I fly over, its arrays beguile,
when
I rest, watching, it’s tranquil-
music
and hues ooze in, epiphany!
Beguiled,
epiphanic , I dabbled;
I
sit here, burned,
Withdrawn,
Watching
you swimming across,
…
epiphany!

ReplyDeletebeautifully written, soft, soothing, flowing!
ReplyDeleteAmazing that such joy leadds to burn until joy in doing is transferred to watching. That is my life!
ReplyDeleteThis is written with a beautifully gentle 'brush.' I enjoyed the 'epiphany' ending! Very nice.
ReplyDeleteOne thing that I really admire about your poems is the choice of words ... You have amazing vocabulary :-)
ReplyDeletewonderful imagery...it really tells the story for you..love how you set it up with a bit of beauty and then bring the emotion in watching them swim on...
ReplyDeleteBeautifully written, thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI like the mosaic patterns, beguiling and soothing ~ Lovely share ~
ReplyDeleteIndeed! When we relax and pay attention, the epiphanies and lessons are apparent.
