For the coming snowy numb...

Humming tunes of summer lay
golden gusto
passing warmth to eyes
to cuddle in the zest.
Ripely  sweetness
filling mellow memories
to flow, jingling stories
untold, cider--painting in
shimmering colors on
corners of  flowing eyes,
eager to wing for warmth,
as crimson glory invites grey,
snowy flakes, where dreams hibernate.
Spirit of autumn humming
tunes silently as light
falls on falling leaves.
On this park bench I sit
with all tunes and golden colors,
cuddled in, letting the violin of joy
play, to keep my lantern lit
for the coming snowy numb.

  3. i like that phrase "snowy numb" ~ it really captures the essence of both the numbness from the cold and the numbness that so often comes as winter seems to just drag on forever!

i hope the new year is treating you well, sreeja!

  4. I enjoyed (and can picture)the ending...the sitting on the park bench with all the tunes and golden colors. And sometimes it is SO hard to keep that lantern lit when one knows it is going to be a long winter ahead! Very nice.

  5. Wow! At one point, I saw a bird wishing to fly home, sitting on a bench instead. Perfect lovely imagination keeps us warm in numbing cold and damp.
