It
quite happened so
in
search of messiah, soul-
soother,
went far and near.
A persona
perfect, no
almost
perfect, for perfection is a myth.
Doors
I didn’t knock, they buttered bread with
gossip,
muttered songs of sadism
kept
love graded on plates
of
low, medium, and high of gains.
A
soul with the warmth of love
without
shadows, with guts to stand high
seemed
like a luminous star of myths.
Vitiligo,
perfect allegory for bleached out souls,
pernicious
souls.
It
quite happened so
in
this search, not blood but thoughts
tie
souls, quite epochal,
happiness
dwells inside
like
a clear glass, thoughts open windows
of
fraternity.
Acceptance
plays the song of warmth
and it quite happened so
that happiness came naturally.
i agree, happiness dwells inside
ReplyDeleteand in sharing our thoughts we do come together like family
it is a wisdom many dont know...happy to fill the earth
with their own wind, never listening to that
of another.
acceptance is truly a warm song.
Thank you so much.....yes a truth...Smiles.
ReplyDeleteSo very true...there is no perfect persona or perfect person. I like where you went with these words, Sreeja. Nice message...happiness comes naturally!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mary.........
ReplyDeleteThe perfection can never be found.. maybe striving for it is what is needed..
ReplyDeleteI particularly liked
Vitiligo, perfect allegory for bleached out souls,
well used words
where acceptance is happiness can't be too far away... so important for us to be seen
ReplyDeleteI like the ending verses very much ~ Hey, good to see you ~ Its been awhile & take care ~
ReplyDeletenice write... especially liked "A soul with the warmth of love
ReplyDeletewithout shadows,"
This was wonderful.
ReplyDelete"Not blood but thoughts tie souls"....so true.
Acceptance plays the song of warmth
ReplyDeleteand it quite happened so
that happiness came naturally.
Beautiful ending sreeja! It comes naturally but many happen to miss it unintentionally! Great!

Liked 2nd stanza the most...it rings with truth. Lovely write Sreeja.
ReplyDeleteIt's a hard lesson to learn over and over, to embrace our shadows with our light, to accept even our saviors are imperfect. Beautifully detailed.
ReplyDeleteI like how you turned this chilling story into one of hope in the final verses. Well done.
