Forlorn

Magpie Tales

Delusion, forgotten verses—
Yesterday seems like a distant forlorn verse
Haunting from empty corners;
But then water pools in grooves
Made by treaded paths,
Mind hovers around past impressions

From a hall of fame descends steps
Or are they ascending again, whence
They started once
With alluring verses;
When empty corner haunts
Ragged, withered, carpet lies
Mute, bearing past impressions

Two needles running fast
Every heart beating to orchestrate

Ragged carpets lie silent

  1. whole lotta texture in this one sreeja....the needles at the end made me think of record players...following the well etched grooves....interesting back and forth on the ascending and descending as well...and being unsure the true direction....

    Ragged, withered, carpet lies

  6. Love this especially:

    From a hall of fame descends steps
    Or are they ascending again, whence
    They started once

  10. I like how you wove verses between the steps...

  11. The neddles run fast leaving the rich past to the present tattered state. The ragged carpets now lie silent and you have woven the bygone era so well.
