Sojourn

Picture courtesy Google

    the mystic colors and stars,
    the sparkles of my eyes
    reflecting; numerous globules
twinkling; endless milky way surges
fears and qualms; where do we belong?

from one dot to another
we move without directions;
the infant eyes wander
with mysterious wonder;
a more mature insight
fears, doubts, and dither;
 zero gravity?
non-belonging?

so long as the colors of my eyes,
in my eyes, reflects all around me,
I may stagger, but I’ll stay;
stay to explore…

  1. Whistles!! ❤💜 This is absolutely exquisite writing, Sreeja :D I love how you open with 'fears and qualms; where do we belong?' no doubt we stagger, and sometimes fall before we discover our footing as you have so wisely stated near the end. Love the ray of hope. Beautifully penned. Thank you so much for participating at Prompt Nights and for your constant love and support ❤💜

    Lots of love,
    Sanaa

  4. As a child life extends endlessly into the future, as we get older we realize how short it is. Explore it while you can.

  11. Your last lines truly sum up the journey we take " I may stagger, but I’ll stay;
    stay to explore…" In spite of difficulties and mystery we want to know more :-) Enjoyed this very much.
