Fencing my wild fantasies I sit here wrapping solitude
birds, squirrels, clouds and all this greenery around
I search for my identity a bit in everything around
keep all those fences intact, I am a bit here and
there
and in everything around
no, no, but no intrusion
it may hurt.
My figure, my identity
these fences, identifies solitude
where I dwell and find myself,
again and again.
Rejuvenation.
I love the idea of fencing those wild fantasies (so as not to lose them, I assume)and keeping them and your identity intact and enjoying the time of solitude! Rejuvenation indeed!
ReplyDeleteSometimes we need fences, barriers to keep people out and give ourselves some space, some thinking time and yes, to rejuvenate our spirits once again.

This poem really resonates with me. I require a lot of solitude, too. Loved this poem.
ReplyDeleteinteresting take...to find solitude you must know what to fence in and what not to surely...just be careful not to trap yourself there....
ReplyDeleteWe are all part of the universe...keeping the fences intact to live and let live and yet identify oneself in each other is one of the ways to respect the other, too, and yes grow...rejuvenate. You're execellent Sreeja. So much encapsulated in so few words!
