Unuttered syllables of longing
Softness of petals against the
skin
Eyes drunk on horizon//
You need to stand on grass where
water hums,
Seeps into the emptiness inside
Mellowing you into the hums of that
star cluster//
Then, if you don’t feel drunken
You will miss being desperate for
dying hills,
Waning forests and may never hear
the silent screams
Of all those beings without
syllables
And you may never know love beyond
limbs//
Copper pod sways gently with the
wind
Outside the window
Showering on lock-down days
Mellowing you into the hums of that
star cluster
