“This
above all: to thine own self be true,
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.”
― William Shakespeare, Hamlet
And it must follow, as the night the day,
Thou canst not then be false to any man.”
― William Shakespeare, Hamlet
I am here, blue ocean within
I am here, blue sky clad
Eyes shut, insight full, rippling
Calm cypher in the middle of the rippling
I am here calm, so true with the blue
No dawn and no dusk
I am here, true in the blue
No trumpets of agony and revenge
Just the wave music of blue all-around
I am here calm, so true with the blue
True with me and all the me around
I am here, blue ocean within
I am here, blue sky clad
For Wednesday challenge and for Jayhawks ' 'BLUE' inspiration...
An interesting combination of prompts. I like the idea of the blue sky and ocean being true to their own natures.
ReplyDeleteThank you...and both the prompts were so good.

Delete"Eyes shut, insight full, rippling
ReplyDeleteCalm cypher in the middle of the rippling"
So that's how THERE one can get in meditation. I've always had a bit of hesitation to just let go to that point, but your poem makes it so attractive!
"True with me and all the me around
I am here, blue ocean within
I am here, blue sky clad"
Truth, and truing the line are more linked than I thought.
Thank you for this poem of ministry!

These are so worthy of the repeat...really ties it all together cyclically! Well written, Sreeja!
Thank you Hannnah....that's the heart of this one....thank you so much...
DeleteThe repetition in this gives it the feel of a mantra, a comforting re-iteration of a credo.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for this support...
DeleteBeautiful response to the prompt...you have use blue to mean serenity...so many equate blue with sad...wonderful piece!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Susie....blue is my favorite color...
DeleteThis is lovely Sreeja, the rippling around and the truth within. There is a photo of the Buddha sitting on a louts flower, untouched, while elements of rage and chaos circle him, fire and storm and decay. A persona of holding faith within yourself. Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Archana....I always wanted to paint Buddha..but somehow couldn't decide on 'what perspective should I do that...maybe your comment triggered something ...I am not sure still...and when we hold that faith only honesty comes...a rendezvous with yourself.....
DeleteI can picture this! Well penned.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much...
DeleteEyes shut; so this is the feeling of blue she hold inside. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you......When you can hold that inside and be clad in it finding oneness with the supreme blue........it is a feeling out of the world where the state of eyes doesn't matter....thank you Margaret....
DeleteFirst red and now blue...Great goings. :)
ReplyDeletecatching colors?...:-)....Thank you LC your visit is a pleasure ....
DeleteI love the peaceful Zen-like vibe that flows through this, knowing that we are the ocean and the sky and the serenity of silence...this is just beautifully written!
