Hardened, suppressed dreams,
tilting, digging deep in muds;
ploughed, nurtured, watered
by perennial memories—inherited.
chlorophyllous angst spreading
moist,
instilling growth—
green acumen sprouting joy.
Tiny hopes seek in to sky—
new life.
I return home with an image,
an imprint to start afresh…
At IGWRT Ella gave the prompt 'wow'. Mine is a silent wow I felt.
great words, Please accept a wow!
ReplyDeleteLove it! The images are of strength, hope compels! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! I am such a nature girl, green thumbed and all...
ReplyDeleteI love this view a great motto for the New Year!

This is just WOW :-)
ReplyDeleteOne of the three ways that moist is an acceptable word...lol. Life may be one of the biggest wow factors of all time, and this is a pefect illustration of the magic. Loved it.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely WOW, Sreeja! :D
ReplyDeleteAn avid gardener, I am ever-amazed by the workings of the natural world. I take lots of photos of "plants in progress" and document my garden in journals. Yes. Soil and seeds and sprouts ~ wow!

ReplyDeleteI find the beauty in nature invigorating, too.
ReplyDeleteThere is indeed so much to be amazed at in the natural things all around us. I like a silent wow. Fits the poem and the photo so well.
ReplyDeleteit is nice to be able to start fresh, even if it took heartache to get us there.
ReplyDelete...and you sure have created an image... but not just an image because you give an impact too...a refreshing appeal of appeciation to every starting life & hope for new beginnings... i like very much your header description: " Life is ordinary without the magic of words and colors."...indeed...that's why God created an artist in us...to make this world a lively & better place in every form & shapes of beauty...smiles...
ReplyDeletevery nice, definitely a unique, but extremely creative vision of wow. Very well done. Thanks
ReplyDeleteI've seen your 'Paints and Pencils' and so also the fantastic pastel you did for Margaret. That's just wonderful. Margaret apparently had deleted her old ones and starting anew forthwith. I, too am thinking to sketch more in my 'Easel and Colours' (though not deleting the previous ones)
ReplyDeleteThanks for coming by, sreeja!
