An acquired posture—
calm, seeking inner
truths.
Moment
by moment
reality crawled,
spreading,
while he coiled
everything
in one point.
The one point
in one moment
blasted, scattered;
spreading, winged
bats of dark corners.
They stared, red eyed,
sharp nailed;
unfettered , they
gnawed his existence.
Bloated wishes,
dreams spilled,
mercurial passions and
mid April sky,
he struggles midst Nirvana
and Bhoga— distilling.
very sublime, Sreeja, amazing work.

Ah! How thin the veneer. He needs more practice at the calm center, and if there is anything left after they gnaw his existencee, he could practice. Beautifully rich images.
ReplyDeleteI love this: "They stared, red eyed, sharp nailed;
ReplyDeleteunfettered , they gnawed" (you have an extra space before the comma)
And the last line.
So marvellous. Each word is a gem. Loved it, Sreeja.
