Jasmine flavoured mornings knocked open mint-filled joys
Roads spread like morning dews, mirrored twinkling eyes of hope
Like lush green love, trees swayed in joy spreading tickling smiles
Last night bathed in tired eyes till dreams spread wings to gather more
hopes---
You are a morning flower, adorable with hopes and dreams till…
The DAILY arrives… with hot burning rods of reality…
ouch on the burning rods of reality...they will def jack you up unless you remake that reality...chase those dreams a bit...smiles.
ReplyDeleteSo many wonderful images in this poem, Sreeeja. Enjoyed 'jasine flavoured mornings' especially.. Is "The Daily" you are referring to the online "The Daily" that a person can subscribe to?
ReplyDeleteI just meant the newspaper... thanks a lot Mary....
DeleteYes, Yes. An earned moment of luscious privacy, truly, before worlds intrude.
ReplyDeleteSreeja, this is so true. I don't know why I read the paper...let's face it, we're so helpless. I think I'll just rest with the first 5 lines.
ReplyDeleteThat last line is quite a turn from jasmine flavoured mornings to burning rods of reality ~
ReplyDeleteSreeja, so true! That Daily can really ruin a morning--love your lush images :-)
